Today's Wanderings

Saturday mornings are so delicious, in the same way that the first few licks of an icecream taste so much better than the last. This one was spent in Pawtuxet, which means "Little Falls" in the language of the Narragansett Indians, the original inhabitants of the area. On this same land Rhode Island patriots attacked and burned the Brittish Gaspee ship in 1772. Today it was simply the air we breathed together and the pavement over which we happily darted from treasure to treasure.

Oh, a treasured Saturday stroll!
That woman reminds me of my favorite actress in one of my favorite films. Her hair is a bit dishevelled but still glam at her age ;-)
