La Gente

Well, Peru is just spectacular. I will write more about it but wanted to get some photos up first. The first one is of my husband and I on our way from Machu Pichu to the Inca drawbridge. In the second one I am with one of our friends who lives in Lima. This gentleman ordered us the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. We had ceviche (fresh fish marinated in citrus), the freshest mussels topped with garlic, onions, chopped tomatoes and herbs, and scallops served in their beautiful shells arrange around a flame, covered in parmesan cheese. Amazing. The rest are just shots of the beautiful people. What a love of life they share, despite a history that was tumultuous and at times deeply sad.

I missed you all and hope you are well!
Love,
Sheila

love seeing Peru through your eyes, wonderful photos with feeling as always.
love this part "What a love of life they share" as evidenced by what you have captured especially want to go join them in the fountain, what an inspiration.
I know it was an incredible soul nourishing time but glad to have you back.

These pictures have brought me back for a couple of viewings Sheila - I keep wanting to ask all about where you were and how you were feeling when you captured them... That last one especially intrigues me. Matching green aprons?

Also, the meal sounds sublime! You remember my last supper? This is how I imagine it tasting... perfect in every way!

Thank you for sharing these. I look forward to some more glimpses.
