Summer Hum

River waves lap
in on sand
with affected ease.
Gold frosts
and bejewels
the deep blue.
Things with fins, wings,
sip Lovely
like honeysuckle
wine.
Hush the bees,
She sleeps
(Time)

single words jumped out at me all over this poem. it did not flow as i read it but it worked well...almost like that lulled energy of summer.

This is beautiful - so full of summer. And yes - honeysuckle wine!

I love this! It does hum. Gently.
