Meek

Black spreads,
saturates,
like spilled ink.
Air feels electric
tastes sweet.
Giant fingers
roll rumbling
boulders.
Reign.
A tear.
tear tear tear.
Fragrant only
in occupation
of another,
earth worms
metallic keys
drippy green leaves.

tear tear tear tear.
We are not alone my dear.

when i see the words and read them out loud. i see hands massaging a back and as the knots release, so too do the tears.
