Shimmering Wishes

I have wished on dandelions, clock times, necklace clasps, flower petals, soda can tabs, shiny pennies, birthday cakes and eyelashes, and inside every plea sent out to the universe was the belief that what I already had wasn't worth much. The best wishes take an element of the present, add something sweet, and shape it into a shiny request. As a matter of fact, who needs wishes when in fact we each have a wand that with a tap can make our ordinaries sparkle. Sometimes I just get it. We are the painters and storytellers of our lives. It is dizzying, the power of it all.

If you look closely you will see the spoon bracelet and special photos, treasures from a treasured friend!

This is a beautiful post, I'm running out of words to describe how amazed and moved I am each time I visit your site.

SO true and a beautiful reflection. And for me part of the magic is found at the point where the images and stories of different lives overlap... and where spoons become bracelets and bracelets become wands too.

I am wishing all the time...I really believe in my wishes and will always make them even if I don't think they will ever come true.

Dreams become wishes, and wishes become thoughts. From there it is only a small step to reality.

Love the dream-like quality of your photos.

This post got me thinking and I realised whilst reading it that I am very much a present tense person. I have seldom wished, although it has definitely been part of my moments of worth. When reflecting on the wishes I realise that I always asked for something in the present to continue. My wand has been put to good use. I am thankful for this.

The photos and the bracelet are the type of gift that I would call a heart gift, thought and time went into it.
