Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is the BEST. These are photos from last year, when we held the 2008 "Zombie Awards" at our house People came dressed as a music star, and walked the red carpet when the arrived. It was all about karaoke, Rock Band, and Fashion Police. I was Avril Lavigne (I know, who really cares about Avril Lavigne, but it was easy to put the costume together!). My husband was much more creative, and knocked the "Prince" concept out of the ball park. Axel Rose made an appearance, as well as Amy Winehouse (photos not appropriate) and many other favorites.

This year at work the staff wanted to do a red carpet theme again. I was strapped for ideas and time, so I went as Slim Shady. I thought it was pretty lame, but the students LOVED IT! Especially the Saudi women, and that was a huge surprise. Tonight we are heading to my parents' house to watch horror movies or play board games and give out candy. Do you celebrate Halloween, and if so, what are you doing?

kendalee said...: Oh this sounds like such fun and the costumes are great! I love fancy dress and have way too few opportunities to indulge in it. We don't really do Halloween in a big way around here, although I've noticed in recent years it's become more and more popular... perhaps next year I'll host a party and create an opportunity to play dress up for myself :); November 1, 2009 at 11:14 AM
