Beach House

I want to sleep
to the wild whispers
of the waves,
my summer sisters
peeling linens down
from quilt to felt to silk
as the night's sun turns on.
If ghosts of sea
walk this desert beach
they may breathe
words like no and please,
and gather round
the open splintered window
gaping as these lovelies dream.

This transports me. And it sounds like the sea when I read it aloud. Beautiful!

I can hear the wild whispers of the waves and yes, to sleep to them - divine.
